Built for Wet Sites

Monsoon shutdowns and winter concreting punish ordinary plywood. Water swells the core, glue lines separate, and the film lifts at the edges. Our 12 mm formwork plywood was engineered specifically for contractors who pour through the wet season: a phenolic WBP bond rated to survive 72 hours in boiling water, dense outer veneers, and every edge sealed against moisture ingress.

What Waterproofing Actually Means Here

Three layers of defence work together. First, the phenolic film itself is impervious, so surface water never reaches the wood. Second, the WBP adhesive line resists delamination even under standing water on the form. Third, cut edges and drilled holes stay protected because we apply waterproof paint sealing to all four sides before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Will the film peel after repeated soaking?

A: The film is thermoset phenolic bonded under heat and pressure - it does not peel from water alone. Physical impact and sharp aggregate are the usual wear causes, not moisture.

Q2: Can you test-report the boil performance?

A: Yes, bonded-sample boiling tests are performed per batch and reports can accompany your shipment.

Q3: Is 12 mm stiff enough for wall forms?

A: At 300 mm bearer centres it performs well for standard wall heights. For wide spans we suggest 15–18 mm; our team will size it with you.
